Court Orders EFCC To Produce Taraba APC Gov Candidate For Trial



A Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo, the State capital of Taraba has requested that the EFCC create the governorship applicant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, Sani Danladi, for preliminary on charges of money laundering and conspiracy.

This was because of the powerlessness of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to serve the APC competitor summons as hung on October 23.

The preliminary judge, Justice Stephen Pam, issued another request to deliver the third respondent as the court procedures were slowed down today.

The first and second respondents for the situation are previous Minister for Labor and Productivity, Senator Joel Ikenya, and previous Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Mark Useni.

Danladi, who is additionally a previous deputy governor and acting governor of Taraba, and the two others are being accused of two checks of connivance and infringement of monetary controls.

They were blamed for gathering the whole of N450 million from previous President Goodluck Jonathan in the development to the 2015 general elections.
