PDP Canvasses Support For Atiku, Takes Campaign To North Central
Previous Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Senate President Bukola Saraki with other PDP pioneers touch base at the setting of the PDP battle for the presidential election in Sokoto State on December 3, 2018.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to signal off its presidential battle in the North Central, to peddle support for its competitor and previous VP, Atiku Abubakar, in front of the general races in 2019.
Chief of Media and Publicity of the PDP battle association, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, declared this in an announcement on Tuesday.
He stated, "Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's next port of call will be Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Wednesday where the gathering will hold the North Central Presidential Zonal rally which will have in participation state governors, pioneers, individuals, and supporters of the gathering in the zone."
"This is a similar game plan that we have for all the geopolitical zones of the nation."
Ologbondiyan issued the announcement in response to reports that PDP governors in the South East were missing at the gathering's rally in Sokoto which hung on Monday.
As indicated by him, the reports guaranteed that the governors have no help for the desire of the gathering's presidential hopeful.
The PDP representative, in any case, accepts such hint bears a resemblance to numbness and naughtiness with respect to those hawking it.
He focused on that there was no sense in the implication since, passing by the campaign time-table, the presidential applicant would visit every one of the zones, where every one of the governors chose on the stage of the gathering from those zones would be available.
Ologbodiyan depicted the purported evading of the Sokoto rally by PDP governors of South East extraction as "an invention of the creative energy of those selling the mischievous talk."
He asked why certain components have chosen to hawk lie about the PDP and its flagbearer, saying they were endeavors to score shabby political focuses.
Ologbodiyan affirmed that such negative reports about the PDP and Atiku were being supported by the individuals who have turned out to be jumpy at the rising profile of the gathering's presidential candidate.
